What Do Senior Dads Really Want For Father's Day This Year?

Ahh, summer. When our thoughts turn to swimming pools, barbecues, and sunny vacations. But there's one holiday in June which sometimes gets a little less fanfare than its counterpart the month before. That's right, we're talking about Father's Day! The day we thank our Dads for all they've done for us -- whether it's DIY wisdom or simply being there whenever we need a big hug.

With Father's Day gift-giving in mind, we asked our Members some questions about this upcoming holiday in an email survey: what plans they might have, and what technology they use to stay connected with Dad. Does technology help to express love and gratitude to the Dads in your life? Or, if you're a Dad yourself, do you prefer traditional methods of communication for special days?

We heard from many of our Member Dads, and the results are illuminating! You can see our favorite survey findings in our Bask Infographic above. To recap: Over half of senior Dads (54%) want new technology for entertainment, but over one fifth of them (21%) want technology to help them feel closer to family. 89% of senior Dads are "aging at home," so technology can be a great bridge to connecting with family members.
