How to Delete Whole Words on Your PC

If you're a PC user, you probably know that the Backspace key can be a tricky beast. It can take time to tap the key once for every letter you're deleting. Or, if you hold down the key, your computer can get speedy and delete too much!

If you need to delete a specific word in the text you're creating, this Tech Tip is just for you.

When you've typed a word you need to delete, place your cursor at the end of the word. Hold down the the Ctrl key, and then tap the Backspace key just once.

Ta da! The word is completely gone.

If you need to, you can you use this trick for any word you've typed throughout your document. Simply move your cursor to the end of the word you want to erase, move your mouse to the end of the word and click once, and then hit Ctrl and Backspace. Simple as that!
